About World Time Now

This website exists to make global time differences easier to understand for travellers, remote teams, businesses, families and anyone connecting across time zones. Most people do not need to learn what an offset is — they need to know what time it is there, right now, and whether it is a reasonable moment to call.

How it works

Every clock, conversion and comparison on this site is calculated from the IANA Time Zone Database — the same maintained dataset that operating systems and airlines rely on. Nothing here is hand-written or manually updated, which means daylight saving changes, half-hour and 45-minute offsets, and any future rule changes are applied automatically on the correct dates for each country.

Calculations run in your browser, so the clocks tick smoothly without hammering a server, and the site stays fast on a phone with a poor connection.

What we don't do

We do not require an account to use any tool. We do not ask for your GPS location — your browser's time zone is enough, and you can always change it manually. Your saved cities and display preferences are stored on your own device, not on our servers.

How the site is funded

The tools are free. Over time this site is supported by advertising placed around the content, never on top of it. If an advert ever gets in the way of answering your question, that is a bug — please tell us.

Corrections

Time zone rules change by government decision, sometimes with little notice. If you spot a result that looks wrong for your city, get in touch and we will look into it.
