Best Meeting Times for Remote Teams

Windows that tend to work for common continent pairings.

Some pairings are easy. US east coast and western Europe share a comfortable window in the early US morning — 8am to 11am in New York is 1pm to 4pm in London. US west coast and Europe is tighter: 8am in Los Angeles is 4pm in London, which is usually the last good slot of the European day.

The hard pairings

US west coast and India, or Europe and Australia, have no shared standard business hours at all. The realistic options are an early start for one side or a late evening for the other. Say so openly, rotate it, and record the meeting for anyone who cannot make it.

For teams spanning more than about eight hours, asynchronous updates plus one deliberately awkward weekly call usually beats trying to force daily overlap.
