Pacific Time

Pacific Time is used along the west coast of North America — Los Angeles, Seattle and Vancouver.

--:--:--

Pacific Time is UTC−8 in winter (Pacific Standard Time, PST) and UTC−7 in summer (Pacific Daylight Time, PDT). It sits three hours behind Eastern Time for almost the whole year.

Because so much of the technology industry is based here, PST is often used loosely to mean "west coast time" even in summer, when the correct label is PDT.
